Hansen, Alexander

Reportedly one of the assumed names (“street names”) of Iskhak Akhmerov, the Soviet “illegal” resident in the United States from 1937-1939 and 1942-1945. Alexander Vassiliev’s notes on KGB foreign intelligence records show that Akhmerov used this name in his contacts with the State Department official Laurence Duggan in the late 1930s and again from 1942 to 1943.
